Mod Question On The First Sovereign.

There is a sovereign for sale which has a mod instaled on the back of the control box called---The Remote All Metal PinPoint Mod---What Is This And Why Was It Instaled.

I used it when I had the box rear mounted on a straight shaft. It just allows you to mount a remote switch up by your fingers or thumb to switch from all metal for pinpointing or to disriminate mode without have to turn your arm in a weird position and use your other hand to flip the switch, once I mounted it back on the stock rod in the stock position I just use the stock switch.

Relic hunter, this is one of most common Sovereign mods out there. It is difficult to reach the toggle switch on the face of the Sovereign when you want to change from Discrimination to pinpoint mode. The housing is best balanced when placed directly under the armrest making it hard to get to the faceplate. Some have an extra toggle switch mounted on the back, others have a 1/8" Jack Installed that a remote toggle located up near the handle can be plugged into.
