Mod for Stingrays & Sharks, cheap insurance!

Being that during the heat of the hunt I thrash around abit in the water, I had some concerns about the closure system of the Stingray II. I had read a few instances where the retaining clips had been struck, and the machine popped open flooding the electronics. This is not covered by warranty, obviously.
So I devised this cheap method of insurance that does not in any way void the warranty. At about a dime a piece these 75lb tensile wire ties do the trick. If you need to open the machine, clip the middle one near the stem only. Compared to spending the dime to open the machine, the alternatives can be very expensive, as in hundreds of dollars and being without the machine for some time.
