Mod a Silver?

Rebel1

Anybody ever add a ground balance pot and knob to a Silver Umax? Is there someone who can do the mod? I know it will void the warranty but just wonder if it can be done. Thanks.

I have a Shadow X2 that came from the factory with the ground balance set way too positive for my ground so I reset the internal GB trimpot. Works for me here because my ground pretty much stay's the same from site to site in this area. Best of luck out there and HH!

Thanks for the reply. I posted a question asking someone to post a pic of the circuit board showing which pot it was but so far nobody has. Hopefully soon.

JB(MS) has a bunch of circuit boards pics, maybe he will jump in to help. One thing though, how are you going to ground balance without a threshold all-metal mode?

Yea, i wondered about that too. That was why i asked for a pic of the board showing that pot as well. I would like to find someone to install both new pots and knobs. I guess i would kinda wind up with an Outlaw clone then.

Darn it. After nearly 15 attempt at posting an answer to Rebel1 it previewed and posted, but it cut most of the text and the photo off:wacko:

I've been having the same problems JB, the Finds Mall Forum tech guru ran a 3500 word post and he had no problems BUT it looked like Greek to me.
