Excal 800 Loot...

Had to mix it up today...
Started off in a wet suit ..started to rain...
Sun came out a blazing..shed the suit quick!!
Started off using the floating basket..alot of rocks..
had to abandon that quick...ran into CLAY bottom,,
Got out the 560 waterproof probe and fanned the bottom...
Then the wind came up..so I hit the land with with the Excal 800
Still managed to pull a few more - a Merc, buffalo nickle and a couple Wheaties..

Nice finds Skully... I like how you doubled up the hardware cloth in your sifter :)

then you can use your vibra probe to locate targets in it. Well really save you some time. I have small holes in my sifter so small targets won't fall thru. I've experimented with varying size holes and it doesn't seem to make much differance on how fast sand/silt sifts thru. I the small holes help keep small targets (earrings, small split shot, etc) Clay & marl eventually dissolves from wave action I just keep hunting. Gravel & shells don't go thru no matter what size holes and thats where the vibra probe earns its keep.
Hope this helps.
