MisSpeedy finds Silver

[size=medium]Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I went down tha road and hunted one of my
most hunted places. It's been hunted by many others
as well.

I have found so many nice things there, and I just hunt
it from time to time now. This was tha first time with Mis
Speedy.

Tha jewelry box was an eyeball find.

I was amazed at how MisSpeedy could pick out coins
in iron infested ground. Those coins were missed by
me and many others.

So today I decided to take her to my testin ground. For
some reason, I never took her there. I tested all my
other MD's there. Now it was her turn.

It's in War Memorial Park. A lot of us Arkies use the
old name, Fair Park.

In July of 2007, they cut down some bushes that had
been there for 50 years, that I know of.

It is a strip, about 15 feet wide and 75 feet long.

I believe this is equal to some of tha most trashiest
of places. Thank goodness tha ground is mild. But trash
has been building up, without being picked up, for at
least 1/2 century.

But, in tha past, I have found two of my most treasured
finds there.

On the other side of that fence is tha War Memorial
Stadium.

It's in front of tha Little Rock Fitness Center.

If you look to tha West, there is a parking lot.

A Horse racing track stood there at tha turn of tha
century. Later, they built a carnival there. That carnival
was there until about 20 years ago.

There was an old worn out merry-go-round next to my
hunting spot.

That merry-go-round is a one of a kind, priceless antique.
It was tha first merry-go round to go up and down and
around at tha same time.

It has been refurbished, at a cost of over $100,000.

The 1924 Spillman Engineering "Over the Jumps"
Carousel is at tha Little Rock Zoo now.

This is the second ornamental piece form that merry-
go-round I have found.

It had a red stone in tha middle and on tha ends, and
clear stones running between. It's gold plated.

Tha other piece I found was a chrome plated brass bell.

I found a few other things today also.

I also found 11 tokens, a wheaty and a mercury dime.

It was a very nice, short sleeve kind of day in Arkie Land.

I enjoyed myself.

Thanks fer lOOkin,
