Had the opportunity to revisit a portion of a Missouri battlefield on private property, with landowners permission. Been hunting this battle off and on for thirty years and have foound lots of interesting finds. In the center, next to the .69 round ball is a somewhat beat up Burnside carbine bullet. Only the third one I've found there, if memory serves. The brass piece on the bottom left is a beat up rimfire cartidge. The coin is a 1918 penny. The finial is the smallest I've ever found or seen. Upper right are two fire starter bullets, found fairly close together, along with the triangular piece of lead. The point on the piece of lead is fairly sharp and makes me wonder if it might have been a fashioned pencil.
