Missouri Battlefield Gives Up A Few Relics

Hi, All:

Got to spend a few days hunting one of my favorite places with my trusty AT Gold. Been hunting this Missouri Battlefield off and on since 1981. Have dug over a thousand bullets, 85 artillery shell fragments, an unexploded 10 lb. Parrott shell and a 6 lb solid shot. It's been good to me. As the years go by, it's getting harder to find relics. I've had the privilege of having the run of a 270 acre farm that a large portion of the battlefield is on, and I've hunted it hard. Here's a few of my latest finds from last week. Nothing too great, but at 71 years old, I still get a thrill digging something that was last touched by a civil War soldier.

Thanks for looking and keep on diggin'

Nice finds I am just over the border on the Kansas side near a battle field have some nice finds but no where that many

Cool. I used to pick up the old .57 Sniders up here. Man those old ringers are a glob of lead. No wonder they took an arm off at the wrist when hit.

We just dont have sites like that here. But bullets do excite me lol. Great hunt.
