Missing Post?

I saw a post earlier where someone mentioned if you left the GB on without pressing the detect button if that would be a new mode. Wanted to see what answer was given. John

I don't remember seeing that post on this forum John. But there were a couple days I couldn't get online. Rest assured, if it was here, it is still here somewhere and it ain't "missing". If you remember about when you saw it, you might be able to go back through the posts and find it. Otherwise, post the question again and see how folks respond.

My thoughts are that the GB mode wouldn't make a very good mode to hunt in. You wouldn't have audio tones or TID numbers. JMHO HH Randy

I changed my post entirely because I had just quickly tested that theory. What I did was GB then still in that mode passed the coil over my coins in my test garden. The threshold ramped up over each target. It was cold and snowy so I didn't give it a good test. So I thought I would just kind of remove the post for people thinking I was crazy or something. Another 3 inches of snow hit last night so I gave it another test in my basement where there is no re-bar and it still worked. So maybe now others can try it. I just thought maybe in this mode some tiny gold could be found prospecting? I wouldn't use it for coins. But anyway it's an experiment.
