Miss my Toltec 100.

It was heavy lunch box but it was really my first good detector. It taught meca lot about metal detectors. Are there any Toltec 100 users out there? Sold mine many man yrs ago. Should have kept it.

I bet if you watch ebay you could pick another one up for around $120 or so. Send it to Tesoro and have them tune it up for $50 and you will be back in business. :) I have a couple of the Golden Sabre variety lunch box detectors and love them. There only fault is the weight. I wish Tesoro would remake them in a uMax housing.

Yup, I have a couple of them, not for sale though. They are the apex of analog metal detectors, with plenty of controls for superior performance. I like to set mine up with a lot of Sensitivity dialed in with a neutral ground balance, then after it is ground balanced, I turn up the Tuner (threshold) to about max for a hot tuneup. I would put this detector set up this way....against just about any modern digital machine.

Somebody has a Toltec 100 up F/S on the big auction site. Nothing brand spanking new, but a place to start. FYI
