Well once apon a time a had the ace 250 and sold it.Of corse i later regreted that move and recently could not resist the magic of it and ordered another. Its my favorite detector ive used next to my minelab quattro. I remember the old coin music it made and loved how it would tell me its a dime nickel quarter etc. Personally i think back and now relize its the best dam detector you can get for the money:garrett::pulltab::spin:

Yeah. I've nearly weakened a couple of times since I sold mine.:poke: I was hoping to get my hands on a 1350 last week (which I reakon, would have to be an Ace with a few more whistles attached) but the local dealer refused to co-operate.
Good luck with the Ace. you'll have a lot of fun with it.

hay Mick my son loves your old yeller feller we"ll hopefully go for a hunt in two weekends time & round up some more loot.
did ya see the master hunter on eBay ?? it"s selling pretty cheep.
the ace is a great little detector & quite capable in the right hands.

Glad to hear that he's enjoying it. I'm loving the 1500 with the Scorcher coil on it. Telling pull tabs and screw caps from coins is a snap with it. Even the $1 coins give a distinctive difference from screw caps. Target separation is pretty awesome too. For Aussie coins, this combination is the best I've seen and used yet! From what I read on the V3 forum, it sounds like the V3 would struggle with the screw caps, so that in my mind, puts Garrett's on top of the heap for figuring out our coins!
I wish that I could have gotten my hands on the 1350. I made several phone calls to line it up, but no joy. If I want to go through the lucky dip of buying one with out knowing how it will perform, then I might have to buy a second hand one from the States.
The Ace locks onto our gold coins like nothing else. I'm yet to see a detector that will lock both these coins into a single notch as consistently as the Ace. Not even the X-Terra 30 or Explorer's can match it for consistency!
No, I haven't seen the Master hunter on E-bay. I had a vague interest in them at one point, but not at the moment.
Keep up the good posts.:ausflag:

Had the gtp 1350 but liked my ace 250 better. Its lighter les batteries and does the same for less money. Man cant wait to get it back in action.:garrett::cheers:

I have an ACE 250. I bought a Minelab X-Terra 70 and put the 250 away. I worked with the Minelab for a while and finally realized that I was making better finds with the Ace 250. I sold the X-Terra right before the newer model came out so I didn't loose as much as I would have if I had waited. Now if the Arizona heat will just go away.
