Miserable weather meger finds.

Got out today but didn't go to Vandercook because of the weather. I didn't want to drive 3 hours one way just to make one dive if it was that rotten. I decided to go back to that strange lake outside of Lapeer. The one that the silver doesn't corrode in. Well not that great today. Rained and 54 degree temp made it cold out of and in the water!! Did manage to scrounge up a 1964 quarter and a 1947 rosy. 2 wheat cents and 2 brass rings. The cowboy ring has a pistol on each side, Kind of interesting. The knife is nice and just needs to be cleaned and oiled.

Meager finds are better than no finds. The only finds I have are the pictures i'm looking at. Couldn't get out today. I like the cowboy ring. WTG !!!!!

I will find better!! Summer hasn't started yet!! BTW that last picture doesn't belong up there. Copied it by mistake.

I have seen a ring like yours before and its seems to me that it was in a Roy Rogers collection.. You might want to check that out because it would have some value if it is. HH Dennis in Idaho

Yes, I was told the ring might be valuable. I never throw my brass rings away anyway.

As to why the silver doesn't corrode in that lake I have absolutely NO clue. It is the srtangest lake I have been in.

The iron beeps drive me absolutely NUTS!! But a high low beep usually means there is a good signal with a bad one. A 10" coil that I use in this lake isn't the best and it is the first lake I have been in where my coil was too big. BUT underwater we can dig everything and that is why multiple rings were in the same hole and I could see them while fanning the sand away. This lake will require a whole day on the hookah in the summer. Its not a huge beach but it an interesting place. It needs a lot of cleaning. It will be a hard job, but somebody has to do it!!
