Misc Silver & Stuff

I finally got time to post the finds that I made last weekend at an old farm house. My hunting partner and I were on the way to do some more hunting at the old 1800s house where I found my rare 1915 Barber Half but never made it because we saw another old house (1700s) on the way, asked and were given permission to hunt it, but no regrets. I'm only posting my most interesting finds which include a vintage sterling silver baby spoon with loop engraved with the initials JWR, a sterling silver thimble, an old pewter bell and a skeleton key, three large cents 1806, 1828 and 1831. I am only showing the 1831 because I gave the other two to the owner. I always like to find and give the owners of houses that I hunt something because it makes for good relations for future hunts. I also found a 1927 Merc which seems to have been in a fire and a 1935 Washington quarter. Also found a sterling silver safety pin with chains which must have had some kind of medal or whatever attached to it, but after looking for it for some time I gave up. When I got home I looked up the three large cents in the red book and found that the 1806 was one of lowest mintages (346,000) as large cent go. Oh well, all in all an enjoyable day of hunting..

Nice Altamaha! I really like the bell and key

Dang nice stuff from that old yard - were all the largies as nice as that '31?

The 1828 was as nice as the 1831 but I nicked it a little, and the 1806 was decent Doc.

Nice LC's!
