Down the beach last week there was a very light shower, I got out of the rain but when I tried to switch the Explorer SE Pro back on again, NOTHING, even after checking the rubber seal on the battery compartment twice before going out there seemed to be damp on the terminals. Put in the spare battery still nothing. I packed up and brought it home, I places the SE in a room that was being plastered that had a dehumidifier in it and didn't give it a thought after a few days signs of life but no display, after a few more days the SE is now working again and even the battery pack that was also in the room is now taking a charge and holding it.
Hope this may help to save lots of money in repairs.

I have used mine in a light rain, but I use the environmental cover. Haven't had any problems yet. Don't use it at the beach though.
