Minus tide digs

It was a nice AM hunt with the full moon. I found a "long " cut after scouting the "desert sands" of the minus tide. It was disappointing after seeing loads of swimmers in the rough waters during the day. The lifeguards had to keep them herded together, due to the strong waves and current. I went back for the AM low tide figuring there had to be fresh drops out where they had been. "Wrong". Any losses must have sunk immediately.
I finally found a small cut and it was target after target as I worked it southerly, all within fiftheen feet of the top of the slope.
I believe I have my "bobbie pin" personal best :hot: I worked it from midnight till 5am, never hitting a barren section. Finally the tide had come in and chased me home.
It's a detecting perplexity to understand how after all these targets, it's possible to come away without a ring of any sort.
Get out and have fun, ya never know what ya gonna dig up.

it will cut into the sand and it creates a wall, anywhere from inches to feet deep. It almost lookes like the sand is a retaining wall.
Depending on how deep the hardpan of that particular beach is and how much sand gets moved away, all the targets that have been out of reach of metal detectors, will now be within their range and make for good pickings.
When the beach is "cut" it "bleeds" treasure :)

Great pile of digs, 'dawg, I'll bet you're tired. What, no pull tabs? Man, your beach is GREAT! My ratio is about 1 per any other type of target, but I gotta dig 'em.
