A post by another Safari owner below advises digging signals from 0 down to -6, but doesn't say what may be found in this range. I was detecting at a local park this morning (ground is very dry and becoming undiggable in spots), using various modes. While in Relic mode, I got a -1 signal and decided to dig it. Links of a chain emerged, but my hopes were dashed. It wasn't silver, but steel, maybe part of a dog leash. Perhaps chains of various metals, difficult for any detector to sense, will often read in the 0 to -6 range.
