Minus low tides all week

With the peak being Thur. and Fri. at -1.6 its too bad all last week brought in tons of new sand. I went to Drakes Island Sunday in Maine and it was terrible. At least I got some good pics of Nubble Lighthouse in York Maine saturday. York was not too bad and I saw another guy with a minelab explorer. Targets were deep, lucky I bought a bigger scoop to get to them faster. No jewlery just chump change and a few spoons.....38 S&W Shell, Sun glasses, fishing weights of course.

Here is a picture I took of it a couple years ago when I was on Vacation. It really is a pretty place.

Mattlockman,

I had planned to go up and try to search in York but work and life issues did not allow it. I have been wondering if the beaches were all sanded in and based on your messages it is.

I guess that you saved me a trip from Westford to York.

One of these days I will need to try and hook up with someone and try another search of the Maine or NH or Mass beaches at some point.

I am new to this but have had a little luck since late Nov.

there were a few good patches on n.Mass beaches this week but today things were slim, little clad. it won't take too much of a north easter to cut it up. the damaged dunes on the north shore are still in bad shape not a lot of sand left to protect them! a lot of old silver and gold came out of there in Jan.Maybe I'll see ya up there some time. April 13th I'm leaving for VA. Beach things look pretty slim there lately too.

Hi Beach Hunter: I'm Kevin aka MassSaltH20 from Mass. I'm in Ipswich, not too far from you. Maybe we can hook up some day, and do a little exploring. PS: Any luck TH'ing down south?

Well I could not make it to the shore. But I was able to search a play ground in a near by town Saturday morning. I had searched it once before and found over $ 6.00 in clad coins.

Saturday I found over sixty clad coins and ended up with $ 7.13, my best day so far.

Again I would love to hook up with someone to search with and try a beach but I never quite know when I can get away.

Beacg Hunter,

Good luck down south hopefully you will get in a hunt or two and make some great finds.

At some point I will be able to head out for a beach hunt and possible hook up with someone that knows what they are doing unlike me.

I have a Garrett GTP1350 that I bought in November. I am still getting used to it but have some luck. Yesterday I found over sixty clad coins for $ 7.13 in about three and a half hours of hunting in a play ground.

Again good luck.
