Mini milestone for me.

After getting family things done yesterday I was able to get out for a little while. Met up with Doug at the old church grounds and away we went. I was able to find an 1897 Indian head penny. This is the first time in all the years that I have metal detected that I have pulled 3 1800's coins in the same year. My previous best was when I pulled the 2 seated dimes back in the 80's. Not much to some but to me it meant a lot. :detecting:

Congratulations Robbie, love finding those Indians....

Thanks Larry. I airheaded and forgot to post the pic of the indianhead. My bad.

Love those Indians! It's always a big deal when you break the 1800s. It's a great boost to the hobby. BIG congratulations! Like I said, "Love those Indians". HH, Nancy

That indian turned out better than I thought it would...there's still got to be more there but there getting
fewer as we go...The Mercury Dime is now in the Display I built right above the barber Quarter and below the seated and barber dimes..
Check it out...I removed the glass front to get a better picture...

Nice find. Its getting tough to find those old coins. I did manage to find one Indian this year but it was a 1907. Good job on the 1800's coins.

That is a nice looking display Doug, appropriate too the location hunted too.

Doug, That looks great to see the dimes together like that. It only took 7 years to pull the trifecta off the property. You were right on the 1876 for the church. I looked it up in the book. I want to thank everybody for the congrats. I still have the rest of this year to possibly find number 4. As they say, The hunt continues.
