Miners lost and found

In my neck of the woods, the old timers sometimes mined coal out of the side of the hill. You just started digging into the side of the hill where coal was.

I went to a dig on my land today and nosed around with my CXIII.
Mostly running in non motion all metal with depth at 8.5.

I found an 11 inch chisel down at 12 1/2 inches.
A couple of chains at about 3 inches and an auger half sticking out of the ground at the edge of the dig trench.
I also found a Boyds zinc mason jar lid at 6 1/2" with the porcelain still intact.

No lunch money though... :(

Alright!:thumbup:Nice hunt!:detecting:Sounds like fun!:wiggle:That CXlll is really an incredible machine.Happy Hunting!:)

Looks to be a relic site.
Good finds !
