Minerialization distorted my GTI 1500

First time I had it happen. Started hunting in a sandy area in a different part of a park. Sand was pretty red. Well anyway the ole trusty 1500 maxed out on every target for size & depth. Couldn't figure out what was going on. Moved away abt 50 yds. things were fine. So I know theres got to be coins over there and tryed it again. Same thing,OK so I figure it's got to be something with the soil. Target ID seemed OK just maxed out. So what to do I started to hold the coil 6" or so over and dug. Turned the 1500 into a beep & dig machine sort of saved the day. Oh I did hold the power button down to reprogram first , but it didn't help.
