Mineralized rock.. no its silver.

:detecting:back to the same spot i was yesterday i get this signal sounds like mineralized rock. but also sounds like silver. the way i check this kind of signal is to switch out of smart find into the numbers. if its reading 0031 its mineralized rock. i have found matchbox cars at this number.when i was moving over the target and looking at the number it was reading 0026-0028 i new it wasnt rock five inches down another roose. and about a foot away 1909-V.D.B.

Nice, silver is always good. If I don't head to Boston next weekend ( I just bought a PI detector I want to try at the beach.) I will give you a call and we'll meet up at W.P.

Great finds :beers: Don't see too many 1909's come out of the ground and the VDB is an added bonus. Congrats.

[size=large]based on my 2010 red book of u.s. coins the value of the vdf penny is around $16.00- $18.00. what takes away from it is the worn spots on the tops of the wheat. thats how i read it anyway. still good return on your effort.
