mineralization percentage building up

With the start of each hunt I zoom the ground tracking and zero the readings, I then listen to the threshold to stay steady telling me it should be clean enough to do a ground balance, with that said my hunting areas read from -83 to -94 with very low % readings of usually less than 1% rarely over 2% about 15-20 minutes later I have been checking it again and it's always much higher readings 30-40% sometimes more, it's as if it's building up.

I am wondering if any of you have noticed this same thing and even though it doesn't seem to effect performance I can't help but wonder if it is?
Thank you in advance.

I haven't been ignoring your post, I just don't mess with stuff like that, so I can't add anything. I GB and go hunting...

Are you runnig in autotrac or locktrac?

I have been using autotrack lately, I am going to run locktrack and see if it's different, that makes sense for sure but I'm almost positive it's the same. If the ground is never 40% mineralization I just can't figure out why it would show that on in the readings? I will check the locktrack tonight, thank you all for helping me with this.

It appears to be averaging the ferrous content in the ground as it should. Try loctrac and see if it does differently.

OK so I spent 4 hours yesterday in locktrack and it shows the same thing, 30-50% mineralization after 20 minutes or so, I guess my main concern is should I be zeroing it out frequently (like several times per hunt ) or can I be confident it's not effecting performance and just roll with it?
maybe one you wouldn't mind looking at yours next time out and see if it's doing the same thing as mine?
Thank you all for your help.
Oh and check out how I started the new year.
5 Wheaties and 1943-P war Nickel and one of my favorite lady's also 1943 the best part is I found it all across the street at the neighbors house; )

You don't have to zero often, but you should zero before taking a new reading. I would have to say the changing numbers between zeroing is insignificant, that is why you zero the data before taking a reading.

Good point Larry, I'm not going to worry about it and just keep doing what I do, it's found me silver the first two days of the year: ) Thank you all.

It is a reading of the ground. The ground changes and so will the readings. I seldom worry about this screen.

I always find a clean spot to GB by using pinpoint.[attachment 253561 ani_einstein.gif]

I thought zeroing the reading in there it is to see the ground Vdi ! I mean for knowing where is your grounds minerals vdi. For knowing the percentage of how much of minerals is in the soil this is different. About how much, I think it should change all the time while you hunt.

After you zero out, sweep over a ferrous target and see that what does to your readings.
