I recently bought a GTI-2500 Pro Package with extra 11.5 coil, headphones etc from a fellow who bought it new but never used it (long story). Now while reading the forum I see references to a new 'mineral chip'. Is there an easy way to find out if my machine has this mineral chip?

If you are unsure phone Garrett with the detector numbers and they'll tell you if it has the chip.
