Minelab's response regarding an upgrade to the 305, 505 or 705......

Lets face it Minelab produces a good product with service after the sale and in turn has to make a profit to stay afloat in this recession. To sell just the control box would be cost prohibitive and certainly good advise as one may upgrade without the cost of buying one complete new model and certainly is an alternative by following this advise...just one lowly opinion and certainly yours may differ...

I think this is a very positive step by Minelab. To allow their dealers this kind of latitude is a great way of cutting down on wastage and also rewarding loyal customers. The X Terra series is a wonderful line of detectors, and I applaud this free and forward thinking by Minelab. I hope the same policy will apply in Australia too. Sapper

hiya guys,,,what is totaly better than the 300 to the 305?? or all the 5s??? i want to buy one but if the price is better on the 300,,etc. why buy the 305???? rgds ,,,comcat

In direct response to your question regarding the X-Terra 30 vs the X-Terra 305.................. the 305 offers one, two, three or multiple tone audio, has an adjustible threshold, can use both 7.5 and 18.75 kHz coils, has 2 pattern modes instead of 1 and has an adjustible ground balance instead of factory preset. No doubt in my mind that I would opt for the 305, regardless of the price difference. JMHO HH Randy

This will help you decide i have a Xterra 70 and a new xterra 305 and like the 305 better.Its half the price of the 70 and ids better great battery life great features for the price and finds nice stuff.So far ive found 3 rings plenty of quarters dimes and nickels and one nice wheat penny a us dollar coin and some foreign coins too.Its a dam good machine. Its like the Xterra 50 but better updated and less money
