Minelab's new pro-pointer

Almost all of the video's and reviews I've seen seem to say ... that the Garrett Pro Pointer gets more depth and it also costs approx. $50.00 less.

I have the Pro-Find and it beeps and vibrates, so that's all I expected it to do. The only reason I went with the Pro-Find was the occasionaly problems reported with the Garrett. I wouldn't get too wrapped around the axle when it comes to pinpointers. If you find it isn't to your liking - sell it and buy something else.

I have both and without a doubt the Garrett out performs the Minelab. The only reason I got the Minelab pinpointer was that is was free with my detector and I already had the Garrett. I wish I had asked for the Garrett instead. In my opinion its a no brainer, go with the Garrett.

I have both and like the garrett better. It is louder and easier to hear than the profind, and the profind has a lag when you turn it on, whereas the garrett comes on immediately. The profind does get a little more depth than the garrett though.

Seems the Minlab I have is power hungry...with fresh battery 6" detection - air test is normal.

Obious how sensitivity adj. can help
