Ok,I have been using this thing and using it I have read the books did test and here is what I think. My Big E (Xplorer) is a good macine no doubt, but for a $1,000.00 you would think it would come with a detector stand like the one I had to buy from sunray with the head phone adaptor.Second this machine works deep in only ideal conditions for deep silver it hates Iron like the one in the Pic.I have tried test and it will not pick it out of the Iron.I searched an area Iron infested with it and came up short,I then took a Tesoro Toltec II and found a 1909 Barber O mint 1 1/2" down between an old rusted bolt and nut,I missed it with the Big E.
I will show in the next post a 100KHZ machine that looks thru small Iron and shoots the dime upto 6 inches,My ? why doesn't the Big E shoot it as easy as the machine I will post a pic in Part 2 of this.It does run at 100KHZ and many other Frequencies.I have run this thing for awhile and really the only thing I see is it very complicated time consuming cost alot and you can program it to find just one type of thing like Idian head cents etc.But again Ideal conditions must exsist as for any unit. But this unit is more work more money,I have used Bounty Hunter Land Star and Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 same as a Sharp Shooter II a Garrett GTA 350 a Tesoro Toltec II many Compass models and they all beat the Big E in Trashy areas and Iron from the use I have with it thus far.I have set up a test like this one and could get the dime with this other machine now to part 2

Well for suface hunting you can eyeball finds and use a lite wt unit with quick response, bury the same targets down 8 inches and see how your Bounty Hunter Land Star and Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 same as a Sharp Shooter II a Garrett GTA 350 a Tesoro Toltec II many Compass models do and please post the results.....I have not had trouble with digging silvers in the hole with iron may have mised some on the surface but thats why Im always looking where I walk, I know a few of the units you mention will only clatter and chirp up here in NY at cellar holes .....HH Bri

The only reason I got these was because other machines and their opperators could not see them
the quarter was wraped with the iron chunk the 2 dimes had iron it their holes also.
I bought my XS last year and I also have a Soverign and a Tesoro Lobo.
the Lobo found 80 silver for me while I was saving the money for the XS, when the XS got here I put it down I also put down The SOV.
I went over areas I had hit hard with the other machines and pulled more silver out of the Iron and that right was out of the gate.

I have yet to find the setting for the Big E to fin such a coin.I can take the coin out and it reads like a silver hit,pop cans and Iron like this trick the big E into reading it like Silver but I have the pop cans mastered, the Iron still fools me,but not like it use to.

you saying the iron reads like a silver hit????? I hope the silver does....The XS is way simpler than MANY folks think, not hard at all.

no way in heck does a soda can sound like silver, dont know what headphones you use or how your hearing is but no way is a pop can sounding silver and no way is iron going to pin cross hair right and sound silver..all I dig are old home sites with thousands od nails and rotted iron and it aint happening.....sorry.You may need a lot more time to understand the unit-I found it very simple but a lot dont.....dont know but do about pop cans and iron

know it all I can prove to you that a pop can under the ground pegs the cross hair over to the right and has a high pitch,I suppose your calling me a liar for all you know I have a busted unit and your on my case.
