Minelab xterra whole nother animal with the 6inch 18.75 klhz coil

Hello second day out with this 6inch coil and i tell ya its the best. Again i hunted a park thats pretty much been picked clean by me. I found 12 nickels thats better than when i took a whites mxt over to the same park and found around 8. Up until now the Mxt had hit nickels harder than all the detectors i had used yet the xterra with this coil found more very impressive. Now what does that tell ya nickel hits manny times come up as rings awsome. I also found manny pull tabs some quarters an dimes and i disked out pennys. This coil is a must for jewlry and good on coins too. It turns the xterra into a whole nother animal. I cant wait to hit the beach . It was great around fences and ball parks and tot lots. Nickels were hitting between 12 to 15 consistantly something the xterra doesnt do with the stock coil. And it was hitting quarters at 45 and dimes t 42 pennys at 30 to 32. With the xterras light wieght and this coil it makes it a great all around hunter. The problem with the whites detectors is they are heavy they kill your arm something the xterras dont do plus you get a better coin machine more depth and a good jewlry machine to with this coil. The hunt goes on .

Also another nice thing about the xterras is they can be swung faster than the Whites mxt and whites dfx. Better sweep speeds and recovery speeds. Now the xterra can be swung slow as well very efectivly. Also a clearer target audio on the Xterras than the Dfx and mxt wich helps in iding targets. Thanks happy hunting

Hehehehe...you're results are the same as mine! If it wasn't so small that coil would stay on my Xterra for most hunting. As is though, my favorite for most of what I do is the 5x10 HF-it just covers more ground. The little HF can sniff good stuff from out of the trash like crazy though! I found a silver ring literally between pulltabs with it! In the trash I go pretty slow with mine.

I don't have the high frequecy six inch coil, but do have the other one and it's my favourite.

Hey Trackerman which X-Terra model are you using? I bought a 305 from you with the HF concentric and it hits on nickels with a more steady and consistent ID than all other coins. From the numbers you posted, I am guessing you have a 705?

Im using the xterra 50 very similar to the xterra 305. Both good machines both id well with the small 6inch 18.75klhz coil wich is my new favorite. Ive had both machines and licked the xttera 305 a bit better than the 50 because of the tone adjustment and threshold humm.
