Minelab XT18000

My friend is urgently in need of the color coding where the coli wire goes into the detector housing, ex black to #1, white to #4, etc. Any possible help would be greatly appreciated. This is for a Minelab XT18000.

Hi, I would contact Minelab & they should be able to help you ....If not I think the resistance between pins 1 and 2 should read about 40-50 ohms this is the receive coil. You should read about 3-5 ohms across pins 3 and 4 this is the transmit coil. Measure your coil to determine the receive & transmit coils...Then it's a matter of determining the right combination to make it work...Examples.....#1 black #2 shield #3 red #4 shield or #1 shield #2 black #3 shield #4 red....If the wires have the shield with another color wire then they are a match (receive or transmit coils) .....JJ
