This new version is posted in the downloads section for the GPZ-7000. It supports both the CTX and the GPZ detectors. JFYI.

How do you know that this is compatible with CTX 3030? I' surprised there is not more hoopla about this on the forum?

Curious.. Probably just released to ensure compatibility with the 7000.

The new XChange2 release is to make XChange2 compatible with the GPZ7000. There is nothing new in it for CTX3030 users. But, it won't hurt anything if you've already downloaded and/or used it. It has nothing to do with future CTX upgrades other than Minelab is committed to the XChange 2 platform. JMO HH Randy

Well, hopefully after the GPZ7000 is released and the bugs it may have gets fixed (like the seawater setting for the CXT3030). Maybe Minelab will put a tiny little bit of focus on some of the programmable upgrades we have all been asking for. I can understand now why they have not answered any of our requests for upgrades, programmers have probably been busy with the new GPZ7000 software.

I opened the manual for the new version of XChange 2 and it is compatible with Windows 8. This is good news as the old version did not work with Windows 8.

Yeah, lack of updates is a sore point for a lot of us.. For the most part they are just minor tweaks which shouldn't require too much effort.

It's simple Jason, some are happy with the way it is and some are pretty much happy yet hoping to see some minor changes implemented to make it even better.
