Minelab X-Terra 705 Want to Buy,what do you like about them?

Hi!

I am seriously considering buying a Minelab X-Terra 705, from the looks of this site I don't think I will be unhappy. I live in Myrtle Beach SC, my plan is to beach hunt, not in the water, maybe on shore line but mostly on the sand. Will I be happy with this choice?

Thanks
Carol K

:usaflag:I was considering that model myself. But, as good as it sounds, I really have no use for the Gold Prospecting mode. There is'nt a spot of gold where I live. Anyways...I will probably go with the Explorer SE Pro.

I Have the Xterras, 705 & 70 and I have had great luck with them. Having the prospecting mode on them is no different than having a all metal mode on other high end detectors. I relic hunt with them and the 10.5DD coils and have heard that that coil also works great at the beach. Check out the Xterra forum here on Findmall and look at the FAQ section, it has alot of great info on the Xterras............

I ran a 70 for 2.5 years, and just got the 705. They really are very good units. Easy to understand, and use. Light and very quick recovery. Come on over to the X-Terra page. The FAQFAQ will teach you more than the manual or video, IMHO, Beale.

Thank you all for your response to my inquiry, I will keep you posted when I get my machine and hit the beach, tourist season just ended down here.

Thanks
Carol K
