Minelab X-Terra 705 vs AT Pro

Ok so I just bought an AT Pro and I hate it so far (can see the post in the AT Pro forums) I have been detecting for 10+ years and wanted to upgrade but at this point I think I made the wrong choice. The X-Terra had caught my eye but I chose the ATP because of... well the hype. Unless they can fix the hunk of junk I may trade in for the Minelab. What is your opinion on the ATP and the Minelab?

Never been around the ATP so I can't comment on it. I own a 705 and love it. I am/was advantaged by my local dealer and detecting friends. They helped me understand the machine a lot faster. I would think the ATP would be a good machine because a LOT of people use them. Maybe yours has an issue. I would get it checked before dumping it.

For me, the Garrett and Minelab's would not be my first choice. I would give consideration to the White's M6. Jeff

Everyone has their choice. I've used Whites, Garrett, brands no longer made, own Tesoros and a Minelab. Love them both for various reasons. Whites current line up wasn't MY choice because of that big a** box on the end. But hey, that's meIKS, your ATP should do you well, make sure there isn't an issue with it.

For me, the Garrett and Minelab's would not be my first choice. I would give consideration to the White's M6. Jeff
