Hi all, forgive me as Im a newbee to this, a few years ago I owned a Whites Classic IDX, I found it easy to use and found some lovely silver Roman coins where I live (Puckeridge, herts) I had to stop and sell due to many spine opps. Now Im fighting fit, I've just purchased a Minelab x-terra 70, as a very inexperienced detecteised would anyone think I've "overdone" it a bit and is this bit of kit too complicated for a beginner such as myself

Not at all, I bought my x Terra 70 last April. 1st detector for me, I learned so much from this web site on top FAQ. I am sure all your question will be answered there. It help me get of and running very quickly. Good Luck

I agree 100%! This is my 1st detector. Read the FAQFAQ like suggested and you will be ready to roll! Good luck to you, Beale.

Without a doubt you must visit the FAQFAQ pages and you will be ready to roll. Good Luck.

I bought my X-Terra 70 last week. I took it out yesterday for it's first test drive. I loved it! It is lightweight, easy to pin point, and very easy to use. This is my fourth detector. This is the best I have had so far.
