Minelab X-terra 70 (Video)

Ok, Many have asked about the Multi-Tone. So through the magic of the net. We are able to to give you a 26 second preview. Many may have visited and seen the picture and comparison between all the X-terra's.

Now you can go and revist and watch a video of the 70 in an air test of targets.

Are the tones basicly the same on the X-50 just not as many? I've never tried the 50 but I sure like that beep.

The X-70 has 5 audio options, 1 tone (for those that just want a beep on any target), 2 tones (ferrous and non-ferrous), 3 tones (which is how the X-30 is setup), 4 tones (which is how the X-50 is setup) and multiple / variable tones (shows up as '99' on the Menu and offers a different tone for different targets much the way the Sovereign sounds). For those that like this option, you can tell the difference between a zinc 1c, copper 1c, dime and quarter by tone as well as then my visual ID.

Takes a little while to get used to coming off the X-50 for a while but it works well in most areas . . . . . high trash is a bit too "musical" for me.

Right click on the link and save it to your computer. Then change the extension from .ASF to either .WMV or .MPG and see if your media player plays it. Windows Media Player 9.0+ should have no problem playing it

Purchased it from and try to work it out as a trade in on whatever detector you want to purchase. Running it over and/or wrapping it around a tree will not get you any closer to a detector that you will feel good about. I understand that you may be frustrated, but you have options.
Those options are up to you. Ebay, Classified, I have even seen I guy here wanting to buy one. I hope you can find a resolution.

I had and sold my X-Terra 50 since after the posts of an X-Terra 70 on boxes, I knew that if I ever wanted to sell it for top dollar, now was the time. I did well with it and I was amazed at all the small targets it would find that my Fisher CZ-70 wouldn't hear when going over the exact same ground. After having owned and used Fisher CZ-70's, CZ-3D, Coin$rike, DFX, EX II and last the X-Terra 50, I can honestly say that I really liked the X-Terra 50. I personally like Minelab's marketing technique to offer three levels of machines to tailor to the needs to the user. With the auto GB of the 30, it's truly turn-on-and-go. For a silver coin hunter who likes dimes in the high range, this is a good machine. I personally get tired of trying to find clean ground to try and ground balance my CZ-70 at trashy old iron-laden farmsites. The X-Terra 50 was a nice step up for those who like more control or in challenging ground. I didn't like how dimes were mid-tone so I was hoping that the X-Terra 70 would fix that in the 4 tone mode...HH
