My season was officially over on November 15th...one day earlier than last year. I will always be lurking here over the winter, but of course I won't have anything new to show for quite a while. I have had an exceptional year. Along with all of the coins I found I managed a few rings, including two gold rings. Thanks to everyone for all of the great advice and support. Next year will be better :super: Anyways here are my totals .... enjoy !

Clad : 183-Quarters, 58-Nickels, 230-dimes (thank you 10X12 SEF), 687-pennies ..
Oldies : 8-Buffalo nickels, 2-Liberty "V" nickels, 8-Indian Head pennies and 199-Wheat pennies.
Silver : 1-Walking LIberty half, 1-Franklin half, 1-'68 Kennedy half, 5-Washington quarters, 12-Roosevelt dimes, 2-War nickels, 14-mercury dimes, 10-Barber dimes, 1-Canadian dime (1917), and 1-Canadian 5 cent (1906), and 1-silver coin from the Netherlands Antillies

Total : 1,426 coins dug !!

I was living in MN last winter. Back in Southern WI now. Looks like we have at least a couple of weeks before freeze up. I decided to reside part of the house and that is keeping me from playing in the dirt.

Chris.

Stay warm. You done very well. Looks like you and that Explorer bonded for quite a haul. Congratulations. HH when you can. :minelab:

Nice season you had bud.

Excellent job, Dave. Just awesome! By my count, you have 49 silvers for the year. I'm at 45 as of yesterday...so, I am STILL chasing you...BUT, I still have a little time to try and catch you :) (see, I can "cheat," as our ground doesn't freeze, at least not for long, down here in OK!) Just kidding, of course.

The other interesting thing is that your silver-to-wheat ratio is very similar to mine. I have roughly 175 wheats right now, with 45 silvers -- and you had 199 to go with 49. Roughly 4-1 ratio...

By the way, where did you get those album sheets that can hold 2x2 coin holders? That's pretty cool...

Anyway, very excellent job with your first year of hunting with the Explorer.

I found them at a yard sale last summer. There was about two dozen of the plastic sheets, a box of 20 dansco coin albums for various denominations, used but in excellent shape. A bag of 30+ dollar-sized plastic coin holders . . . all for about $10. There was a little old lady there who was kind of peeved that I bought the whole box because she had been "thinking about buying it before I showed up" .... You snooze, you lose !! LMAO !! I'm such an A$$, I know !

Superb season Mcdave and an excellent display of the finds. I remember reading your post about the 1914D...what a score.
