Minelab Sovereign Elite Headphone suggestion?

mginfo

New member
Hi Everyone,
I am new on here. I just got a Minelab Sovereign Elite and I was wondering if anyone could give me a suggestion on what headphones to get for it and where would be the best place to get them?

Thanks!

Inland I like the sunray gold headphones.
At the ocean I prefer the better noise blocking ability of the Black Widow headphones. They are heavier and bulkier than the sunrays.
Sound is about the same.
Any of the forum sponsors are your best choice for your purchase and they all can get the quality phones like I mentioned.

I would say that most any of the better quality headphones would work for you. I use Killer B headphones and they work for me on my Sovereign GT. Talk to a couple of the sponsors of this forum and get their input. There about four or five of them that I have dealt with and was treated fairly by each one.

Most high end phones will show about the same specs..... dont believe it. One dealer said he didnt know so they just put the same thing out. Speakers and detector compatability you will notice. I agree you cant beat the Pro Golds or the Black Widows. I like the ability to adjust the volume at the phones while leaving the detector of high volume so you dont miss the weak signals.

On the Sov GT, I use Black Widows, unless I am wearing a hoodie or rain jacket with the hood up, in which case the Killer B's fit better under the hood. At the beach or in windy conditions, the Black Widows have superior noise blocking ability. It is worth the money to buy the best headphones that you can.

I use Jolly Roger's very comfortable you won't damage your hearing with these headphones. Detector Pro Jolly Rogers used with the Sovereign will require the volume to be set at the max,but for me this is the perfect level. Most will complain about the lack of volume but not me.Good Luck Ron
