I am not the seller but just wonder if any of you all have experience with or an opinion on this $299.00 item,Thanks Ray.

With the never ending quest to detect deeper, the only options were try a larger coil or spend thousands on the latest and greatest new detector. For Minelab Sovereign owners there is now a new option to detect deeper. The Sovereign Amplifier will provide the extra depth previously unavailable by any means. After two years of testing and development the Sovereign Amplifier in now ready.

The Sovereign Amplifier is a battery powered amplifier that takes the normal signal that the detector puts out and amplifies it to a higher voltage to drive the coil. This will create a larger magnetic field around the coil to penetrate deeper into the ground. The amplifier will enable your Sovereign to detect objects 3-4 inches deeper than normal. The amplifier has an adjustable power setting to vary the power to the coil. It has a power button to turn the Amp on/off. When the amp is off the detector works as normal and it does not require the external battery. There is a power indicator that lights when ever the amplifier power button is depressed. The power light will only come on only when the external battery is connected and the detector is connected and turned on. The Amplifier comes with a 2.2 Amp hour Li-Ion Battery that last 12 hours on the maximum power setting. The battery is housed in a plastic box with a belt clip. There is a stretchable cord that connects the battery box to the amp while the box is mounted to your belt. The Amp also comes with a Li-Ion battery charger that will charge the battery in approximately 6 hours. The battery charger connects to the battery box cable, there is no need to remove the battery for charging. The charger works from 100VAC to 240VAC input. The Amp mounts to the detector shaft with two re-usable plastic mounting straps. It can be used with meters and probes, just connect the meter or probe between the Amplifier and the Detector. The Amplifier comes with a 1 year warranty

I just got it a hour ago and havent had a chance to check it out yet, but had one of the proto type last fall and was impressed in a few of the test I had did and wanted one of the final ones when made, I am hoping to get to try it out in a few days and see how well it will work. Seems like a lot of money, but if it will do what the proto type did I am sure i will be happy as some of those weak iffy signals that sometimes only repeat once in a while seem to be easier to hear and were repeatable with no problem.
I am sure some others that were doing some testing of the new one, or hope they will give their honest opinion on it too.

Rick and Ray...Keep me posted on the Depth improvement over Normal /// I see some great possiblities here /// beats water proofing a GPX4500 and it would be more economical... Let me know ASAP ........Thanks Obn

Rick good luck with it, one nice coin can pay for the amp. sounds like it might open up some old already hunted areas for you.
