Minelab Service Turnaround Time?

So Minelab has had my detector since the 16th. I emailed them two days ago. They responded back telling me that no one has had a chance to look at it yet. Is this normal?

LOL. I was so depressed about not having my E-Trac that I bought a second one while my first one is in the shop. Not having my detector is like.....
 
Not what I would like to hear but at least they haven't returned it without addressing the issues you sent it in for like First Texas did with my F75ltd.:thumbdown:

I feel your pain however and would have done the same thing---look at it this way, when the repaired one returns you can sell it in a heartbeat--try that with a Fisher!!!!
 
From my experience, Minelab takes great care of their customers and turn-around time has been 2-3 weeks max. I would bet that yours will be heading back to you any day now. I can only imagine how many people have sent in their machines right now after an entire winter of sitting around. They may be backed up a bit, which may be causing the delay but that is just my speculation.

I would give it another week and if you don't hear anything by then, give them a call and I am sure they will look in to it for you. Sorry to hear that you are waiting, because I know how much that stinks, but I sincerely stand by Minelab as I have never received anything other than excellent customer service from them myself. Let us know what happens and I hope you get your machine back soon.
 
Took about two weeks round trip for my Safari but that was back in March.
 
I've had a good experience with them. I just sent my pro find in on the 30th and they called me today and said that they were sending me a new one. They called when it got there and called me the next day to tell me the new one was on its way. Best service I've had.
 
my experience was good but it was two years ago, before the CTX came out, it was about 9 days door to door if i remember correctly. they couldnt duplicate my intermittent problem but they tried to fix what they thought might cause the problem, and they were right! they fixed my issue. something with the coil connection receptacle inside the head unit.

very pleased.
