hello all i just put together my se pro and was wondering if the jack for the cord in the handle is supposed to be loose or if i have a problem with it already thnx for any info

[size=large]you got a problem. mine was as i thought it should be when i bought it. nice and snug fit. just make sure it's in all the way.and you're using a 1/4"pin.

Yes, It's slightly flexible, so the whole connector self centers in the upper rod.
Let us know what you find.

Hello Drillman,
There are two connections that you may be talking about. The coil wire attachment below the control box is flexible do not worry about that. The headphone plugin is in the back by the battery - that should not be flexible. Hope this helps.

thanx fellas for all ur help well now i just need to get practicing with it i m headed for nags head saturday i m definetly bringing my old gtax 500 for a back up just in case i can t figure this high tech machine out lol wish me luck

Nags Head ?:drool: I'd love to get there someday. I started with a gtax 550 myself, I think once you understand the SE language, you'll never look back. The Explorer's only drawback is it's weight. I hope you find more good signals than you can handle in NC. Good luck

Good luck in N.C Pete, I think you'll find the Explorer a great machine on the beaches.
