Minelab Se 10.5'' coil on a E Trac?

Has anyone ever used one and if you have what kind of results have you gotten? Depth, separation- the usual. Or is it better to go with the 11 of which I don't have and must buy then. How about the 13" Ultimate as well? How does that fair? I have an old 15" WOT that I probably will be selling as I don't feel that its the right coil for the Etrac.

The stock coil for the etrac is not 11" but actually 10.5 and probably the same as on the Explorer.
It's everyone's workhorse for a reason.
 
The Slimline? Although I don't use it much anymore the stock coil for my Explorer2 is actually a REALLY NICE COIL. I've got 2...
Are you referring to the "PRO" coil? I've used the Slimline coil I have twice. 10 minutes after I put it on the EX2 I found the best coin I've ever found. Go figure...

Yes its the slimline coil IDX, ok so I will use it on my E Trac because I did not care for the WOT so much. I found it hard to pinpoint and the separation was not that good for me. Its was only my second time out the Etrac and change is in order. Thank you IDX!
 
Of course...be aware that I had seen somewhere that there were a batch of Slimline coils that were "bad"??? I can't confirm that but someone else will know for sure....MY Slimline works just fine,it's likely yours will too. Big coils certainly take a bit of time to pinpoint with and this is about having fun and success. If a change to a smaller coil makes your hunting better in some way then I agree,that's what you have to do.
 
Many of the Slimline coils "falsed" in wet grass.----I would stay away from that one & go for the 11" Pro coil instead---the 13" Ultimate is an excellent coil on the Etrac also.

Thanks D&P I will try out this coil and see if I do get some falsing then if do then would definitely get the 13"Ultimate as I have experience with it with Explorer SE.
 
Have to agree with everyone on the 13" Ultimate. I have one and it's a great coil. Great depth, id, and separation. I go back and forth between it and the stock coil. The only additional coil I would consider is a very small coil for hunting in super heavy trash.

Of course MY favorite coil for the e-series is that X-8 you no longer have....:)

I would suggest the Tornado on the e-trac. has killer separation and awesome depth. Look online as see what people are using. Lots of users using the Tornado on many different types of coils. I do not even take the stock 11with me. I have all NEL coils. I take the Thunder, Tornado, Hunter, Sharpshooter, and a sunray x-5. I also have a tornado for my F75LTD2.

Thank you very much for the info I will definitely look into it as I can use my Ultimate for both my Etrac and Explorer SE. I am not opposed to trying something new. Especially with my soil conditions out here is sunny Cali.
