Minelab Safari vs T2SE

I currently own a T2SE and a Garrett AT-Pro by far I grab the AT more than the T2SE I just feel more comfortable using it. As far as my hunting I relic and coin hunt and use the AT on coins haven't had a chance to try it on relics but from what I've read it does great for relics. The T2SE is a depth animal and it does quite well in my soil on relics but I want a machine that isn't as chatty as my T2SE and that's why I'm contemplating on selling it or trading it on a Minelab Safari. So here's what I'm looking at using the AT for relics and the Safari as my coin machine. So do you guys think I'd be messing up getting rid of my T2 and going with the Safari. I had a Etrac before I got the T2SE and loved it but I got worried if it messed up due to being out of warranty the cost of having it repaired would be more than it would be worth.

The Safari is an FBS unit with almost no Bells and Whistles.... Limited on settings but works well if you go slow, and do not mind some false signals ( Iron) that sound and read good targets.

On the other hand set the T2 at 40 Disc, and you do not get the false iron hits, You have the ability to swing fast, and also have a nifty 5" DD coil available for trash areas. The 11" for super depth.

Were it me ..I would opt for an SE Pro if I wanted to replace the T2... Again just an opinion, and a little experience with all three machines. None of them are bad.. It's just user preference overall.

I'm a big T2 fan, but facts are facts and the FBS units find older deeper coins......... though that is about all their good for in my opinion....if you relic hunt it's just so so ...........If you get the Safari make certain you empty the coil cover often..

Morgan----If you are thinking of going to a Safari--one thing you might consider.---Used Etracs in excellent condition & still under the Minelab transferable warranty are coming up for sale at very attractive prices occasionally (especially since the CTX 3030 has come out).-----If you could swing it, would be well worth considering selling the T2, adding a little more money & purchasing one of these Etracs.-----Another possibility would be trading your T2 in to one of our Forum dealer/sponsors for a new (or used but still under warranty) Etrac.------This would be my #1 plan of attack, rather than purchasing a Safari---but as they say "this is just me":)---------Del.
