Minelab Repairs on Older Detectors

RLOH

Well-known member
I have read several posts on Minelab's repair center not having parts to service certain detectors. I have known for some time that the original XS model was not being serviced due to lack of parts. Recently, I have read that the Explorer 11 cannot always be repaired. If anyone can give a real opinion or fact on this subject, please let me and many other users know. I guess I could call Minelabs midwest service center, but hopefully, I trust, the people making these assertions have made the call. Thanks and if there are known facts concerning the Ex 11, please let all know. R.L.

Hi RL, call Jeff Otero at the Illinois facility and ask him about your problem. Jeff is in charge of the repair division and would be happy to help you. He did wonders for me and maybe he can do the same for you??

Hope this helps,

Rocky!

Rocky, thanks for the help. I did not have Minelabs new number. I sure hope they will be able to service the EX 11 for a couple of more years. There is nothing wrong with mine, but I am preparing for the inevitable. Sort of like having an old dog, you start thinking the worst, even though your trusted friend is still OK. R.L.
