Minelab Repair Service is the Best

Ohio bud

New member
Last fall I was having trouble with my E-Trac when the temperature dropped below 40 degrees. It would make a noise like a flute, like you would move your fingers from one flute hole to another and hold the tone. I sent the detector to Chicago just before Christmas and got a call from the technician about a week later. We discussed the problem and he decided what to do to make the repair. I have had the detector back for a couple on months now and have detected in cold weather and the detector is working great. I could not be happier with the service.

That's good to hear Ohio Bud, thanks for sharing that report with us.-----Didn't sound like it took all that long to get the repaired unit back from Minelab either--that in itself is good news also.---------Del

It's nice to hear a good report. I read so many postings trashing their service. I have had only good experience with their service. Last year my E-Trac started reading over voltage & shutting itself down & wouldn't start up again.I called Minelab & they told me to send it in. They not only replaced the internal parts, but put on a new heavy duty rubber hand grip on at no cost. It was returned in about 1 month & works great now.

I'm glad to hear that Ohio Bud. I have had exactly the same experience with ML service. A few complain but its nice to hear when others of us have great experiences. Thank you for sharing and I am very glad to hear that you got your problem taken care of. HH -Marc

when i sent mine in last month it was 9 or 10 days DOOR TO DOOR. cant get any faster than that.

I've only heard good things about Minelab service...I haven't dealt with them first hand (knock on wood), but i'm not to worried if I have to.

maybe in the past they may have had slower service but it seems to me that they must have put some work in on it, based on what ive read. I would never worry about sending something to them. Very easy to deal with and fast.

Good to hear service is getting better.
