minelab repair options?

ok....i remember seeing a post about a guy that was repairing minelabs, i think he was in michigan?
anybody know who im talking about?
whos out there other than minelab service?

id just send it to minlab and be done with it, DONT SEND IT TO BILL BRANIN IN LAS VEGAS...youll not get your correct machine back it might end up on ebay being sold., i sent him my excalibur 2 1000 and he sent me back a chewed up well worn excalibur back and the serial numbers didnt even match to the one i had sent him to the one he sent back to me.....my lesson learned is to just send it back to the factory repair site only, you can read my post in the excalibur forum under my other than minlab experience....
hope this helps out
good luck to all
john

i replied to your post! i know i seen a post about a guy that was starting his own repair facility and he had plastic injection molds that would allow him to make endcaps and other things that minelab would not sell to anyone. i just cant find the post from about 4 or 5 months ago!!!!!!!!!! i thought he was located in michigan? keep us updated on your saga with bill!
chuck.
