Minelab Quattro Vs. Minelab SE II PLEASE HELP

Hello I have a question to all you Minelab Quattro users. I currently own a Whites DFX and I am wanting to purchase another detector. I am really seriously considering the Minelab but I am really struggling with which one to purchase. Can anyone shed some light on these to for me? Such as the differences, advantages and etc. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
Jason

Sorry Fellas, after posting I seen the other exact post on down the forum. Is the difference in the price worth the difference? Or is it just extra money for stuff that a person would hardly every use?

Hello Huntin relics (I like your user name!). I can't speak for anyone else here, and I don't know much about some of the other detectors, but I can tell you that monetarily wise, I've paid for the Quattro more than trice over in finds, both beach and goldfields hunting. But I've put in a lot of time and effort too. Hope you find what you're looking for. Just do the research on all detectors you're interesting in, and have a read on the different forums specific to that detector. Might give you an idea on which way to go, for your preferred type of detecting.

I'm looking at your post and Golden's post, and I got to thinking, if your mainly hunting relics, you might be very happy with the Quatro, instead of shelling out a couple hundred more for the Explorer. I'm saying this very carefully, because I know Golden has extensive knowledge and use of the Quatro and some experience with her "hubby's" Explorer. I know she's an avid relic hunter, and what made me say this is: The big deal that I see about the Explorer, or should I say one of the biggest assets of it, that I can see is the double numeric readout for ferrous and conductivity, but if your gonna be hunting in all metal mode only or mostly, heck, the Quatro should work great for you. If you want some more info as far as the two readouts, iron mask, back lit display and some other neat stuff, I'd say pay the extra couple hundred bucks and buy the Explorer. I'm only giving you a semi-rough overview here. If you want to make a "really informed decision", I'd suggest, downloading both of the owners manuals for both machines on Adobe PDF and read them extensively and then make a decision. Good luck and hope to hear from you soon. Beach guy.
