Minelab Pro Swing 45 "opinions please"

Anyone use the Minelab Pro Swing 45 ?
anybody have any experience with this harness or one of the other brands?
Share your experiences good or bad.
Will be getting a 17" coil and maybe looking for relief from the weight with the 3030

I use the 17" inch coil exclusively, in the water and on the beach. I use the Detecting Buddy style sling that came with my Garrett ATX. It works perfectly for me. Can't imagine using anything else.

Alright now you're talkin'! I have a Pro Swing that I'll use with my CTX and with my Explorer....with a big coil and Sunray probe it's bulky. The CTX with 17" I can swing for an hour or so before I feel it so for a longer hunt I'll wear the harness sometimes. The harness is really nice, but you MUST spend the 15-20 minutes it takes to tweak it to be just right for your body shape. All the adjustments are there,so taking the time is very important! It's very nice in weather that does NOT require a heavy coat,it Is a bit of a challenge to use with a lot of cold weather gear. What you want to know is if it takes the weight of the machine and distributes it so no one thing hurts after awhile and yes,it does. If I'm lazy I'll just hook the right bungee cord to my left rear-ish hip belt loop, sling it over my shoulder and hook it to the machine. Works well with a bit of padding under the bungee where it sits on the shoulder...but it ain't no Pro Swing.

The Detecting Buddy works well and is pretty comfortable. For some reason though, I just hate being teathered to the machine.

I would guess with a couple new fasteners of some sort a guy could rig it to easily be unhooked like the Minelab Pro 45?

Even though the Detector Buddy style sling works very well for me while Beach and water detecting, I can see how it would not be ideal for all detecting situations. If you need to disconnect from it often, like relic hunting with a shovel, I don't think it would be a good setup.

Unless it's a quick hunt, 20 minutes or less, I don't hunt without it. Not that I can't it's just that my shoulder, neck, and back hurt if I don't. By far the best swing aide I've used.

Works perfect... With CTX and ATX both machines are heavy. ATX 3.3kg! Without one hour and your arms should fall off. With harness I can work all day.

I use mine with my DFX and its 14 inch coil, but only if I'm going to be out more than 1 hour. Very handy to have the pouch in the back which holds 2 spare battery pack. Suitable for almost any detector

I hunt for hours at a time and I wouldn't think of heading out for a long hunt without it. Although the 45 distributes the weight well, it still tends to shift the load towards the swinging arm. I balance it out by rigging all my other gear (sand scoop, pro-pointer, digging tool ) on the opposite side of the harness. Works for me-
