Minelab pro coil broken

Not too sure if this is the right place to post this question but. I have the ML pro coil that has a broken wire near the strain relief. ML says it can't be repaired and warranty was for only 6 months. Has anyone else had similar problems? I need to remove the strain relief that seems to be hermetically sealed. Just wondering how and what to expect when I start digging and cutting. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi muggsc do you mean the break is at the coil end or the unit end,i have repaired both ends one was down inside the coil.terry in oz:ausflag:

Yes, its down inside the coil. seems like if I move the strain relief just a little the machine cuts out.

Small wire was broken inside of the strain relief at bottom where it divides and goes into the loops. Repaired the wire and back in business.
