Minelab output Impedances

Goodrat

New member
It's hard to get info from Minelab about output impedances.
I was wondering about the Extera in particular and I don't have one.
What I usually do with a machine is connect an open plug to the headphone jack and measure the RMS at no load. Then I connect maybe a 1K ohm variable resistor or decade box and adjust until I get exactly half the RMS voltage. The resistor should then be the output impedance. Of coarse you have to set up the machine to give you a steady output tone (battery test or loud threshold tone) to get a solid measurement.
So anyone with the time, send me an email.
