The Pro Pointer is water resistant too. If that Pinpointer doesn't offer better depth than the Pro Pointer then I don't see people buying it at a higher price, period. Not a big Garrett fan but have to admit that the Pro Pointer is so useful that I won't hunt without it. I cringe when I think of the days when I had no pinpointer and would sweep the plug over the top of the coil to see if the target was in it. Can't imagine life without it, now. I'm a big fan of super tuning the Pro Pointer to get more depth too. Beats getting up and re-sweeping the hole.

Two problems I see...Adustable sensitivity. That can be a pain. Love the auto adjust on the Pro Pointer when it powers up. If it falses on the dirt then just turn it off, touch the tip on the ground, and then turn it back on again to auto adjust to the ground minerals. Auto shut off...Not a big fan of that either. Don't care for the auto on/off of the Vibraprobe. I want a switch. Can you imagine sticking the thing back in the holster and having it go off due to your digger near by?

yeap that is the one deepdiger60. i just haven't figure out how to post links or pictures on here, but thank you for doing it for all of us!
Critter, if that hapen you and averyone carring the probe in your front packet will get happy when the vibration goes on and on, it my get you all confuse trying to get the ...probe out of the packet LOL.
but you are right the price is high for it and less the reviews proof something out of this world, for that price you can get the sunray inline probe ah?

That's probably the list price so who knows it might be about the same price as the Pro Pointer at other retail outlets. I noticed it's body is square. Might not fit in your hand as well as the Pro Pointer. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of Auto off. The Vibraprobe's auto on/off is a real pain. Maybe with the manual adjust sensitivity it can be tweaked deeper than the ProPointer, but it may be more of a hassle to use than the auto adjust on power up of the Pro Pointer. Bottom line is if that thing gets a good bit more depth than the Pro Pointer it will sell well. If it doesn't, I don't see it selling as well due to the auto off and manual sensitivity.

Looks like it has two buttons on it, so maybe you can turn it off without relying on the Auto Off feature? Wonder how the sensitivity is adjusted since I don't see a knob on it? The other button might be for turning the audio on/off because it says you can just have it vibrate. Also, it looks like the battery compartment on the rear is just a regular door so it might not be as good as the one on the Garrett that screws on. That's a really nice setup.
