Minelab. Hows about making some slimline coils for the X.

I'll buy an 8" and a 10" in advance. That dinosaur of a 10.5 DD has got to go. Kind of defeats the purpose of a light weight machine.

Hey hey I agree but love how well it works in my ground. Sure do wish it was not so heavy though. If the Book that came with my detector is correct, I think the next coil may be a 3 Khz DD.

Exactly, I have been thinking and writing that for ages! Yes why make a beautifully superb lightweight X-Terra machine then match it with heavy clunker 10.5" DD coils. The most confusing thing about it is Minelab already does make Slimline DD coils for its other metal detectors but not for the X-Terra series which makes no sense?

People are putting the middle shaft and/or the coil on backwards to combat this heavier weight out of balance of the 10.5" DD coils.

I must give them credit for the X-Terra 9" Concentric coils that are considered Slimline by me and are very lightweight.

If you are listening Minelab please make large Slimline DD coils for the X-Terra's! (And make at least one in 12.5" DD size also.) Thank you!
