The ground froze before I got to use it a lot, but what I did use it I was impressed with it and did OK with it. I still like my Sovereigns a lot and dont know if it will replace it for my coin detector, but it is looking great so far. I know I have used all of the Explorers and i do like my E-Trac a bit better so far as it seem to run so nice and responds faster too from what I have used it and find the ID seems to be a little better too. I will know more after the snow leaves and the ground thaws out.

No comparison. The E-Trac is better than any before it. The best trash seperation I have ever seen while looking for coins in the parks. Won't be able to check ghost towns, and deeper stuff until summer.

My previous was a White's Eagle Spectrum....for almost 18 years. I thought it was the best ever. Till the E-trac.

I also have a Fisher F-70......it is faster than the E-trac on recovery........but...........it is not as accurate.........or quite as deep as the E-trac.

I also had the Minelab Explorer SE...........it was the king till now. It's now gone. Ditto with the Spectrum.

I'm keeping the F-70 for gold nuggets. I've got and Excalibur for the water. And the E-trac for land work. I think I've got it all covered.

Just got mine and have used it once. I have to say this is the best I have ever used. Ill never give up my old cz6a or my id-excel but they will collecting dust most of the time. The E-trac is above and beyond them by miles.

But best of all it can be VERY sucessful in a disc pattern, A always ran all metal with the Explorer, not any more!

I have had Garrett,and whites.......My favorites were My CX 111 Garrett, My Whites XLT,Compass CoinScanner & GoldScanner. were right near the top..............Found More Gold with.The Troy X-3 than any other detector,and My previous Minelab X-TERRA 70 Purchase almost rivaled my Troy in Gold Finds......But my all Time Favorite. for finding DEEP targets,,,,,,,,,AND S I L V ER ............Is MY E-Trac !!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer to use my E-Trac, especially now that I have a 6" Excelerator coil for the trashy park I search.
