Minelab Has A New Pinpointer

Critterhunter

Looks good. Wonder how it compares to the Garrett ProPointer. I won't be buying one because I couldn't be happier than I am with the ProPointer. Garrett also gives you...what...a two year warranty I think? I doubt Minelab is going to match that.

Hi Critter i think i will wait for a few reviews on the new probe and see what the price is when they release it , the S-1 i have is not easy to lose ,once i dropped my White,s hand held probe in a huge field it took me almost 2 hours to find it that is because i do not walk a straight line i zig zag  Jim

I am sure Minelab has done plenty of tests and comparisons with all the hand held probes and if they are releasing a product it will be a quality product. I sure do like my Sun-Ray's. I have a Garrett pro-pointer and in my opinion the Garrett is the best hand held pin pointer out there but I will compare it with the Minelab. HH :minelab:

I love Minelab's products (I own an Excal 2 and an E-Trac); however, it will be hard to beat the Garrett PinPointer. I dropped mine in the salt water surf, about a year ago. I recovered it as it washed ashore about 20 minutes later - it is still going strong a year later.
